Project Details

St Gregory’s Primary School was chosen as part of a fully funded and pioneering project, to install a ground source heat pump. Throughout the process we worked with in partnership with the school to design the system, based on both the building itself and the usage.

Although the installation meant digging up the school, the school children were able to take an active and education part of the projects. At times they donned hats to visit the installation site and took part in dedicated assemblies to learn more about how the ground source heat pump was going lower their carbon footprint and help to protect the environment.

"It's been an amazing and rewarding project. The children have been involved at all stages... we're really proud to be part of this pioneering project with South West Heat Pumps."
